Dighi to play Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib in ‘Tungipara'r Miya Bhai’

Prarthana Fardin Dighi grew up in a cultural family. Her mother Ifte Ara Dalia Doyel and father Subrata were successful silver screen actors. It was assumed that Dighi would follow the same career path- as both of her parents were actors and she received much acclaims as a child actor.
Dighi's career began with a Grameenphone TVC which became viral for her dialogues, "Baba jano amader ekta moyna pakhi achchhe na..."
As a child actor Dighi acted in more than 30 films including "Chachchu," "Kabuliwala" and "Ek Takar Bou." She received national film awards as "Best Child Artist" for these three films.
This young actor is now all set to appear on silver screen - as leading lady and has signed up for five feature length films, produced by Shapla Media.

In the film, the emerging actor will be seen as Bangabandhu's wife, Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. The film is based on young Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. New-comer Shanto Khan will act alongside Dighi.
Last week, during a photoshoot, Dighi talked about her upcoming films and much more, in a conversation with The Business Standard.
"This is a great feeling, as I always wanted to be an actor and from the very beginning everybody encouraged me to be an actor," she said.
"I stood in front of the camera after 8 years. I am enthralled."
Later this month, the emerging actor will begin filming for four other films and has two more scripts in hand.
When she was asked her if it is too early to be the leading lady on screen, Dighi said with confidence, "When I was in grade 9, I would get offers to play lead roles in the films. I wanted to take some time to be ready and be prepared."
"There are many actors who started playing the lead roles at very young age, even younger than me," she added.
How is the journey in the film industry going to be in future from being a child artist to be the leading actor? Dighi smiled and replied, "I heard usually child artists don't get accepted by the audiences easily. However, I have received warm welcome and encouragement wherever I went so far."
"Before people would ask me when we will see you silver screen again which made me realise everybody wants to see me as an actor."
Many popular actors were Dighi's co-start when she was a child. Now that she has grown up, and is playing lead roles, naturally it comes to mind that whether Dighi has any actor in mind with whom she wants to pair-up in films.
"I don't have any priority list, I want to work with everybody, however, I would love to work with Bollywood's Ranbir Kapoor, and this is one of my dreams."
Dighi wants to be a good actor rather than being a trophy heroine in films. Talking about her acting goals, she said, "Before I sign up for any film, I emphasize on my character and I want to give my best."
"I don't want to act in films where I won't have enough opportunities to deliver good performance," she added.
When it comes to collaborating with new directors, Dighi is interested to work with them, because she believes young directors understand the emotions of this generation very well.
The busy actor enjoys reading books and watching films in her leisure. "I am a big fan of Misir Ali series by Humayun Ahmed. Perhaps, this is the reason thriller stories attract me a lot and I have interest to work in thriller films."
Meanwhile, she is keeping busy and has signed up two more new films which are "Ekattorer Itihash," and "Joggo Shontan."
Dighi is well prepared to establish herself in the film industry.
