Dighi to star in new film 'Dena Paona'
A new film, based on Rabindranath Tagore's short story 'Dena Paona', is currently in the works. Popular actress Dighi has officially signed onto the project and is set to star the central character, Nirupama.
The movie is being directed by Sadek Siddiqui and its screenplay has been penned by Miron Mohiuddin.
Backed by government funding, filming is set to begin on 22 January at the Khatib Khamar house in Hotapara, Gazipur, according to the director.

Dighi, expressed her excitement about starring in a film based on a Rabindranath Tagore story, "For a long time, there have been discussions about me acting in this film, and it's now been finalised. After hearing the story, I felt that the role of Nirupama offers a great opportunity for me."
In addition to her upcoming film, Dighi also has two other films, 'Priyo Prokton' and 'Jongi', both of which are awaiting release.
