Dream Theater announces music scholarship
'Dream Theater' released their latest studio album “Distance over time” in February, 2019.
Progressive metal band Dream Theater has announced a music scholarship fund in conjunction with the Berklee College of music. To celebrate its 35th anniversary, the band will provide monetary support to music students with this scholarship.
"We're happy to help aspiring young musicians attend the school," guitarist John Petrucci said to the Rolling Stones magazine. "We're especially excited because the scholarship is limited to instruments that we play — guitar, bass, keys, voice [and drums] — and it's really cool if we can help students who wish to attend make that decision to go. It's something that we're all really proud of."
The scholarship fund will be headed by Berklee global development officer Mirek Vana and Dream Theater manager Frank Solomon.
The Grammy award winning band released their latest studio album "Distance over time" in February, 2019.
