Kumar Bishwajit : Alauddin Ali’s contribution to the industry will be remembered always

Eminent music director and composer Alauddin Ali passed away on August 9 at a hospital in the capital, Dhaka. He was 67 years old.

Losing a legend like Alauddin Ali, the entire music industry of the county got covered in the mist of sorrow. 

Singer and composer Kumar Bishwajit expressed his condolences to Ali's Family. He said, "It is a big loss for the Bangladeshi music industry. Alauddin Ali's contribution to the industry will be remembered always." 

Remembering Alauddin Ali, the singer said, "I always admired him like a father. He was the person who gave me my first big break in the Bangladeshi film industry. Not only that, Ali also helped me to settle down in this big city. I will be always grateful to him." 

"In 1982, Alauddin Ali heard my song "Tore Putuler Moto" and gave me the opportunity to sing in the movie name "Inspector." This is how I debuted as a playback singer with the song "Amra dujon duti shanto chhele", which I sang alongside Pakistani singer, Alamgir," Bishwajit added.

Regarding Ali's music, Kumar Bishwajit said, "Alauddin Ali was very good at playing the violin. He used to add the tune of the violin to most of his songs, and that is what made his music more melodious and heart rending."  

Another Bangladeshi playback singer Khurshid Alam said: "Alauddin Ali's entire family is related to music, which is a very rare scenario. It is like he had music in his blood. That is why his works were so soulful. It was a pleasure to work with such a talented artist and I am very fortunate that I got the opportunity to work with a legend like Ali." 

Alam also mentioned, "Ali was an amazing violin player. If only he had not been born in Bangladesh, he would have marked his place among some of the best violin players in the world. We are very fortunate that we got him as a music director and composer, which made our music industry richer."

Legendary music director Alauddin Ali won the National Film Award eight times and composed music for more than 300 films during his long career, starting in 1974.
