Singer Ferdous Wahid admitted to CMH
Ferdous Wahid had been suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time
Pop singer Ferdous Wahid was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Thursday afternoon with a high fever.
When contacted, his personal assistant Mosharraf told The Business Standard that the singer had been suffering for the last couple of days. As his symptoms were close to those of Covid-19, his samples were tested at the capital's Anwer Khan Modern Hospital.
The novel coronavirus test results came back negative but his fever remained. Thus, he was admitted to the CMH on Thursday when his health condition deteriorated further.

After being admitted to the CMH, the hospital authorities collected his samples again for a Covid-19 test. The test result has yet to come.
Mosharraf further said that Ferdous Wahid had been suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time.
Ferdous Wahid's singing career goes as far back as 50 years. He gained massive popularity by singing pop songs.
Some of his most well-known songs are: "Ami Ek Paharadar," "Mamunia," "Age Jodi Jantam", "Shon Ore Chotto Khoka," and "Ami Ghor Badhilam."
