Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor taken to ED office for questioning
Rana Kapoor’s residence was raided by the Enforcement Directorate in connection to Yes Bank’s exposure to troubled realty firm Dewan Housing Finance Corporation
Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor has been taken to the Enforcement Directorate office for on Saturday.
He was brought to the Ballard Pier office in South Mumbai for further questioning, reported Hindustan Times.
Earlier on Friday, his residence was raided by the ED in connection to bad loans which has put the private bank and its depositors in a crisis.
Earlier, Rana Kapoor's residence was raided by the Enforcement Directorate in connection to Yes Bank's exposure to troubled realty firm Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL).
DHFL has been accused of siphoning off around Rs 13,000 crore with the help of 79 fictitious companies and one lakh fictitious customers.
RBI recently capped withdrawals for Yes Bank depositors to Rs 50,000 after loans lent by the bank turned into NPAs.
