Control room opened to monitor market, circulate export-import info
Leaves for the employees of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh and Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection cancelled
Aiming at monitoring local markets and disseminating information about exports and imports during the coronavirus crisis, the commerce ministry has launched a control room at the Secretariat in the capital.
The control room's phone number is +88 02 954 5853 and will remain open from 9am to 12pm every day, including weekly holidays, confirmed Md Abdul Latif Bakshi, public relation officer of the ministry.
The ministry officials will play their roles in this control room on roaster basis. All officials and staff of the ministry will get health supports in case of their necessities.
Meanwhile, the government has cancelled all leaves for all the employees of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) and Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection.
The directorate will continue its regular activities. For emergency services, a control room also has been launched.
