However, the Bangladeshi bowlers struck early, with Hasan Mahmud removing Da Silva in the very first over without any addition to his overnight 14 runs.
Alzarri Joseph joined Greaves at the crease but struggled to settle, managing only 4 runs off 3 balls before falling to Hasan. At 261 for 7, the West Indies were in danger of folding quickly.
Greaves, however, steadied the innings alongside Kemar Roach, building a vital 140-run partnership that frustrated the Bangladeshi attack. Greaves reached his fifty with composed batting and continued to dominate, eventually notching up his maiden Test century off 181 balls.
Roach contributed a crucial 18 off 25 deliveries before being dismissed with the score at 438. Greaves remained unfazed, guiding the innings to a declaration at 450 for 9, ensuring the West Indies had a commanding total on the board.
