Taposh shown arrested in case for grabbing Gaan Bangla TV
The channel's Chairman Taposh was arrested from the capital's Uttara area on 4 November
A Dhaka court today showed composer Kaushik Hossain Taposh arrested in a case lodged for allegedly grabbing private channel Gaan Bangla television.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman passed the order, allowing a plea from the police.
Sub-inspector (SI) Harunur Rashid of Gulshan police station on 4 December pleaded to show the chairman of Gaan Bangla Television Taposh arrested in the case. The court on that day had set today to hold a hearing on the matter.
One Syed Shams Uddin filed the case against five including Taposh and his wife Farzana Munni for grabbing the ownership of the music-based channel by threatening at gun-point. Another four unnamed persons were implicated in the case.
Taposh was arrested from the capital's Uttara area on 4 November.
