Environment department officers association election 2025 held
The Executive Committee Election 2025 of the Environment Department Officers Association took place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Environment Department's headquarters. The election was conducted in a fully eco-friendly manner, utilizing digital technology without relying on traditional posters, leaflets, or banners.
A total of 51 candidates competed for 29 positions. Mirza Shawkat Ali elected as President, Muhammad Hafizur Rahman as General Secretary, Md. Mirza Asadul Kibria as Organizational Secretary, and Hossain Shuvo Munjuri as Treasurer. The newly elected members expressed their dedication to enhancing the Environment Department's role in protecting the environment and ecology.
The election schedule and code of conduct were announced on December 29, 2024. The process was supervised by a five-member commission, chaired by Rajinara Begum.

To celebrate the occasion, online voting centers were established at the headquarters, and a contest for the best digital poster created by candidates was held. The election also served as a reunion for current and former officers of the Environment Department, adding a festive and memorable touch to the event.
