ACC picks up Beximco Group official Tariq for questioning

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has picked up Tariq Alam, chief executive officer (CEO) of Akash Digital TV, a company under the Beximco Group.
An ACC team, led by its Assistant Director Sazzad Hossain along with the Detective Branch of police picked him today (22 January) from the Dhaka airport immigration.
ACC deputy director Aktarul Islam told The Business Standard whether or not he would be detained will be determined later.

A source from the commission earlier confirmed that Tariq has been taken for questioning over the recently surfaced corruption allegations against Beximco Group.
