The Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police is now looking for the trade license holder of JKG Healthcare over the Covid-19 test report scam.
Confirming the matter, sources related to the case told The Business Standard that the person has been identified as a female relative of JKG's Chief Executive Officer Ariful Haque Chowdhury.
Detective Branch officials also said they are very close to completing the investigation, and they are now gathering all the evidence and papers related to the case.
Golam Mostafa Russel, deputy commissioner of DB Tejgaon division, said, "We may seek another few days of remand for JKG Healthcare's Chairman Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury.
"Both key personnel of JKG admitted to their offenses during interrogation. We are now summarising all the information to prepare the charge sheet."
On Sunday, DB officials produced Ariful before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court, and the judge sent the accused to jail as the police did not seek any more remand.
