EDU to provide students with 30 GBs of free mobile data per month for online classes

East Delta University (EDU) in conjunction with Grameenphone is going to support its students by providing 30 GB of internet data per month to them for free to ensure their seamless access to online classes during the coronavirus pandemic.
The two organizations arranged a webinar titled 'The Outlook of Education and Career in New Normal Era' to announce the results of the EDU and Grameenphone partnership and to provide inspirational guidance to other organizations said a press release issued by EDU on Sunday.
EDU's Founder Vice-chairman and Chief Innovation Officer of EDU, Sayeed Al Noman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grameenphone Yasir Azman, EDU Vice Chancellor Prof M Sikandar Khan, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Grameenphone Kazi Mahbub Hasan, Head of Communications Khairul Bashar, and Tasfia Azim, HR and Digital Marketer of Viper Media, USA, participated in the webinar.

Grameenphone (GP), one of the leading mobile operators in the country, has participated in this initiative of EDU by providing sim cards and data to the students.
EDU's founding Vice-chairman and Chief Innovation Officer Sayeed Al Noman said, "Since internet facilities are not the same everywhere in Bangladesh, we are the only university in Bangladesh to give 30 GB of mobile data per month to make it easier for our students to take online classes."
"In this regard, we have received assistance from GP, one of the major telecom operators in Bangladesh."
"GP is giving to give our students a SIM card each, where they will get 30 GB of internet data from EDU every month," added Noman.
Yasir Azman, the first Bangladeshi CEO of Grameenphone, lauded EDU's initiative and said, "Our vision is to provide technical support or digital connectivity between all the important sectors of the people."
"We want to be involved in all initiatives to provide maximum service to the people of the country. So, we are eagerly involved in this wonderful initiative of EDU," added Azman.
