Shakti Foundation feeds one lakh poor people on Eid
Inspired by the glory of sacrifice every year, the people of the country celebrate Eid-ul-Adha together and share the joy with each other. The need for this abandonment has become more meaningful this year due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus and the flood.
And as a part of that, one lakh hungry people are fed on the occasion of Eid with the funds formed by the Eid bonus of the employees of Shakti Foundation and donations of various great people including the own funds of Shakti Foundation.
Inspired by the strong desire of the Shakti staff to stand by the people and help the people, the Shakti Foundation took this great initiative called, "Ek lokkho ahar, Ek lokkho Hashi" on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Robi Telecom was the media partner of their campaign.
On August 3, 2020, food was delivered to 396 branches of Shakti Foundation across the country in various working areas, especially orphanages, orphanages for disabled children, old age homes and ashrams for helpless women.
The program was also carried out in flood-affected areas of Tangail, Gazipur, Jamalpur, Gopalganj, Munshiganj, Pabna, Sylhet, Sunamganj and other branch offices of Shakti Foundation. Food was distributed among the helpless people who took shelter in various shelters and above the embankment in the flood-affected areas.
Even poor people, who have lost their income due to the pandemic, were a part of it. Keeping in mind the true significance of the sacrifice, Shakti Foundation has involved everyone who wanted to participate from and out of the country in this initiative out of a desire to do something for the people together. Shakti Foundation expresses their gratitude to all for their spontaneous response and hard work in successfully implementing this initiative of giving a meal to one lakh people and they hope to implement similar projects on a larger scale in the future.
