Five job seekers have been detained for adopting unfair means in the recruitment test of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism on Saturday.
Later, they were handed over to police for further legal procedure, the ministry said in a press release.
The written test for recruiting office assistants in the ministry was held at eight centers in the capital city on Friday. The candidates who succeeded in the written test were called for a viva voce on Saturday.

In further scrutiny, it was found that the Friday's scripts were not written by their own.
The candidates are identified as Md Al Mamun Talukder from Netrakona's Atpara upazila, Md Hamim from Bhola's Borhanuddin upazila, Md Akram Hossain from Faridpur's Nagarkanda upazila, Md Takrim Ahmed from Brahmanbaria, and Md Anwar Hossain from Mymenshingh's Gafargaon upazila.
During primary quizzing, the detainees confessed that some others appeared for the written test on behalf of them.
Takrim Ahmed said one Omar Faruk sat in the recruitment test on behalf of him under a contract of Tk10,000.
