37 more die in Bangladesh
A number of 2,949 patients were declared free of Covid-19 during the same period
Bangladesh recorded 37 more deaths from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours till Monday 8am.
The country's death toll from the virus now stands at 7,089, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest day's infection rate was 10.69 percent of the total tests, though the overall rate in the country till date was 16.49 percent. The death rate stands at 1.44 percent.

A total of 2,949 patients were declared free of Covid-19 during the same period, raising the total number of recoveries to 423,845 with an 86.09 percent recovery rate.
Among the latest day's victims, 27 were men and 10 were women. All the deceased died in different hospitals across the country.
Of them, 25 hailed from Dhaka, seven from Chattogram, one each from Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions and three from Khulna.
Meanwhile, 16,828 samples were tested in 140 labs across the country in the past 24 hours. A total of 2,986,458 samples have been tested in the country so far.
The gender breakdown of Covid-19 victim's shows that 5,413 of the total deceased were men and 1,676 were women.
In the meantime, 1,799 people tested positive for Covid-19. The number of novel coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 492,332.
The country's first Covid-19 case was reported on March 8 this year and the first death from the virus was reported on March 18.
Meanwhile, the novel coronavirus has killed at least 1,620,654 people since the outbreak emerged in China last December, according to the Worldometer at 05.21 GMT on Monday.
At least 72,735,019 cases of coronavirus have been registered. Of these, at least 50,941,103 are now considered recovered.
On Sunday, 2,062 new deaths and 103,242 new cases were recorded worldwide.
The United States (US) is the worst-affected country with 306,459 deaths from 16,737,267 cases. After the US, the hardest-hit countries are Brazil with 181,419 deaths from 6,901,990 cases, India with 143,393 deaths from 9,884,716 cases, Mexico with 113,953 deaths from 1,250,044 cases.
