Medical college admission test: 49,413 students pass
This year, 69, 405 students took the MBBS admission test.
The government and private medical college admission test results have been published and 49,413 students have passed the examination.
The results were revealed at Directorate of Health conference room on Tuesday evening.
This year, 69, 405 students took the MBBS admission test. Of the ones who passed, 22,882 (46.13 percent) are male and 26,531 (53.69 percent) are female.
The director-general of the Directorate of Health, Prof Abul Kalam Azad, said, "Those who scored at least 40 marks have passed the exam, and will get the results through an SMS. The results will also be published on the directorate of health website."
The students who passed can apply for admission to government medical colleges. The government medical colleges will consider their applications based on merit. If they are not accepted there, they can apply for admission in private medical colleges.
The student who scored the highest marks of 90.5 is a male. The highest-scoring female got 89.
There are 4,068 seats in the 36 government medical colleges, and 6,339 seats in the 70 private medical colleges in the country.
