Brac University continues ‘Student Assistance Fund’ for Spring 2021
Under the fund, every student will receive a 100% non-tuition fee waiver and a 10% tuition scholarship
Brac University is going to continue its 'Student Assistance Fund' scheme for the spring semester of 2021.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Vincent Chang announced the decision to continue this special support to the students considering the difficulties students are still facing during the pandemic, according to a press release issued by the institution.
He emphasized the university's commitment to keeping the students at the centre of all initiatives.
"Being a student-centric university, we go the extra mile for the betterment of our students, particularly in difficult times," said Professor Chang.
The components of the fund will be similar to the previous semesters. Every student will receive a 100% non-tuition fee waiver and a 10% tuition scholarship. On a need basis, a limited number of students may receive tuition scholarships of more than 10% and up to 100%.
Earlier in the summer and fall semesters of 2020, Brac University committed a total of $5 million (Tk43 crores) to the Student Assistance Fund.
