Joy inaugurates ‘One-minute Nagad Account’ service
Joy also inaugurated free-telecom service of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited
Sajeeb Wazed Joy, information and communication technology affairs advisor to the prime minister, today inaugurated the "One-minute Nagad Account' service.
The service has been opened for making financial service faster and safer for the people across the country through linking Nagad, a digital financial service provided by Bangladesh Post Office, with mobile apps "Porichoy" for getting the account service in one minute, said a press release of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology ministry.
The inauguration programme was held at the secretariat where Post and Telecommunication Minister Mostafa Jabbar, Secretary Ashok Kumar Biswas and Managing Director of the Nagad service Tanvir Mishuk, among others, were present.
Joy also inaugurated free-telecom service of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) marking the 'Mujib year', the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Under the service, clients across the country will get free land phone connection of BTCL.
A new app was also inaugurated where BTCL land phone users will be able to complain about their dissatisfaction with the service.
