JICA to fund for third terminal at Dhaka airport
Under the agreement, JICA will provide the fund for constructing a third terminal as a part of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Extension Project
Ministry for Civil Aviation and Tourism has signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday with Japan International Cooperation Agency's (JICA) fact-finding mission.
Under the agreement, JICA will provide the fund for constructing a third terminal as a part of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Extension Project.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali said, "Under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the aviation sector of Bangladesh is moving forward and becoming a world-class one. The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism is working to build a public-friendly aviation sector. The third terminal will be constructed focusing the need of the passengers."
Mika Mihara Mi, senior deputy director of JICA said, "JICA wants to start construction of the third terminal as soon as possible. The satisfaction of the passengers will be taken with utmost importance in the construction."
Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md Mohibul Haque, Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Md Mofidur Rahman and Additional Secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Atiqul Haque were present at the signing ceremony.
