BB asks banks to allow staffers to vote in CCC polls

The Bangladesh Bank Monday issued a directive asking banks in Chattogram city and adjacent areas to allow their employees to vote in the Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) elections.
The directive was issued by the central bank's Department of Off-Site Supervision.
According to the central bank circular, banks in Chattogram will allow the staffers to cast their ballots in CCC polls Wednesday.
In the elections, six candidates are vying for the mayoral office, 162 for 40 general councillor posts and 57 candidates for 14 reserved posts.
