CU admission test to start from 22 June
Chittagong University will hold the admission test for 2020-21 academic year in three phases, starting from 22 June.
The decision was taken on Monday at the fourth Deans Committee meeting of the university held over the issue, the university's acting registrar Professor SM Monirul Hasan confirmed it to The Business Standard.
The admission test in the first phase will start on 22 June and continue till 24 June, while second phase and third phase will be held between 26 June to 1 July and 5 July to 8 July respectively.
In December, the vice-chancellors (VCs) of 20 public universities reached a consensus on how the varsities will hold a uniform admission test under the cluster system.
There will be three examinations for science, humanities and commerce students based on the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) syllabus, they decided.
The admission seekers who have passed HSC and its equivalent examinations this year and passed those in 2019 will be eligible for the admission test.
Three 100-mark examinations will be held. No additional test will be taken for the students intended to change tracks in graduation level.
