Le Méridien Dhaka has brought this cuisine and culture for the urban people of Dhaka by organising the 'Greek Food Festival' at their restaurant, Latest Recipe. The festival has started from October 28 and will continue till November 9, 2019.
Guest Chef, Alexandros Makrygiannis, Junior Sous Chef, Hotel Grande Bretagne, has traveled all the way here to delight the food enthusiasts with his authentic Greek delicacies which will be served in buffet style.
Greece is a country with a very rich history and inspired by it, the hotel is embracing the root of the Greek heritage by welcoming guests with the aroma of fine cuisines and a delightful ambiance. Greeks like to eat and drink together around the table, keeping elements of the ancient banquets and celebrations. The festival is featuring the scrumptious melange of Greek and Mediterranean favorites such as Greek Salad, Moussaka, Octopus Fritters, Gyros and Fried Cod Fish with Potato Garlic Puree.
All of the savory dishes will be accompanied by various dips and sauces including Tzatziki (cucumber and yogurt) dip. Finally, the guests will be presented with ambrosial dishes such as Loukoumades with Honey and Cinnamon (bite-size fluffy sweet honey puffs) and Yogurt Pie.
The launching ceremony was attended by invited ambassadors. The chief guests of this event were Mr. Faruque Hassan, Honorary Consul General of Greece to Bangladesh and the mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation, Mr. Atiqul Islam.
The guests can enjoy Greek food and experience the perennial culture at BDT 3,900++ per person. There is Buy One Get One (BOGO) and special discounts with some selected bank cards.
