3 cops suspended for robbing Cox’s Bazar woman

Three policemen have been suspended over the snatching incident of Tk 3 lakh from a woman after entering her house in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday.
The suspended policemen are Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Nur-e-Khoda Siddiqui, Constable Aminul Momin and Mamun Mollah of Cox's Bazar City Police outpost.
Superintendent of Cox's Bazar Police Md Hasanuzzaman said the three policemen were suspended as the robbery incident was found true according to the primary evidence.
In the meantime, they were produced before the court as a case was filed in this connection on Monday night. Police on drive to arrest two other locals for helping the policemen in this robbery, the police official said.
Quoting the locals, the SP said, "The three policemen in plain clothes, in collaboration with two locals, tried to loot a bag full of money belonging to Rozina Khatun, wife of Riaz Ahmed of Cox's Bazar's Madhyam Kutubdia Para."
Unfortunately, one of the policemen was caught by the locals during the robbery incident. Later they informed the matter to Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station thought the national hotline number 999.
On information, one policeman was arrested from the spot and later the two other policemen also were arrested as per the gleaning information of a policeman. As per the primary evidence, police found the robbery incident true, the official added.
