129 ILFSL loan defaulters including PK Haldar summoned by High Court
They have been asked to appear in court on 24 and 25 May
The High Court has summoned 129 debt defaulters of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited (ILFSL), including Prashant Kumar (PK) Haldar, for siphoning off thousands of crores of takas from various companies.
They have been asked to appear in court on 24 and 25 May and inform the court about how and by how many days they will repay the loan.
Of the 129 defaulters, 100 have been asked to appear on 24 May and the remaining 29 have been asked to appear on 25 May for explanation.

The order was issued by a single bench of Justice Khurshid Alam Sarkar of the High Court against an application filed by ILFSL, a non-banking financial institution.
The High Court issued the order on 16 March but released a written copy of the order on Wednesday.
Informing about the news, Barrister Mahfuzur Rahman Milon, a lawyer for International Leasing, said the 129 individuals had been summoned for not repaying Tk1,800 crore taken from International Leasing.
Earlier, on 19 January last year, the High Court ordered the seizure of bank accounts and passports of 20 people, including PK Haldar, in an order at a hearing of an application by two ILFSL investors. At the same time, the High Court appointed Khandaker Ibrahim Khaled, a former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank, as independent director and chairman of International Leasing and Finance Services Limited, a listed financial sector company.
Khandaker Ibrahim Khaled resigned as director and chairman after 25 days in office. In a report filed with the High Court before his resignation, he said it was not possible to save the organization.
