Heidelberg, NGS cement fined for polluting environment in Chattogram

Department of Environment (DoE), Chattogram wing today fined Tk13.58 lakh to two cements companies for polluting the air of Chattogram city.
Azadur Rahman Mallick, director of DoE (Chattogram Metropolitan), handed down the penalty to Heidelberg Cement and NGS Cement after a hearing.

Assistant Director of DoE, Chattogram Sangjugta Das Gupta said, "Heidelberg cement has been fined Tk5.60 lakh while NGS cement was fined Tk7.98 lakh. Both the companies are situated at Patenga in the city."
