Prof AMM Shafiullah, former vice chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) has died of Covid-19.
The veteran educationist breathed his last around 5pm today at Square Hospital in the capital.
Prof Mizanur Rahman, director at the Buet's Directorate of Students' Welfare, confirmed his death to The Business Standard.

Prof Shafiullah took over the charge of 10th vice chancellor of Buet on August 30, 2006.
He joined Buet as a lecturer in Civil Engineering in 1973.
