Recommend teachers to MPO-listed institutions within 7 days: HC to NTRCA
The court has also suspended the notification published to recruit fifty-four thousand new teachers for one week
The High Court has directed the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) to recommend the recruitment of appointed teachers of the 1-12th batch in the MPO-listed private educational institutions within the next seven days.
At the same time, the court has suspended the notification published to recruit fifty-four thousand new teachers for one week.
The HC bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman passed the order on Thursday.
Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan, Advocate Mohammad Siddique Ullah Mia and Barrister Mohiuddin Hanif appeared for the petition, while Advocate Faruk Hossain represented NTRCA.
"The NTRCA has been directed to recommend the recruitment of some 1,500 registered teachers of the batch 1-12 within a week," said Advocate Mohammad Siddique Ullah Miah, adding, "The court has also suspended the legal notice published in the print edition of The Daily Ittefaq on 30 March for the appointed period."
Earlier on 8 March, the High Court directed the NTRCA to recommend the recruitment of teachers from the aforementioned batches in MPO-listed private educational institutions within 15 days. Later, a renewed contempt of court petition was filed against the NTRCA chairman for not implementing the court order.
Last year on 15 December, the High Court banned NTRCA from issuing notifications for the recruitment of teachers in private educational institutions. The court order also stated that the concerned authority will refrain from issuing any further notice to appoint teachers before clearing the allegation of contempt of court.
