SBL to provide relief assistance to Covid-19 affected underprivileged people
On the occasion of its 22nd founding anniversary, Standard Bank Limited (SBL) has distributed relief assistance among underprivileged people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
During the first phase of relief distribution, the bank is going to provide relief assistance to 2300 crisis-stricken families through 23 of its 138 branches across the country, said an SBL press release on Saturday. \
Earlier on Thursday, the bank organised a Doa-Mahfil marking its 22nd founding anniversary where the bank's Chairman of Board of Directors and former FBCCI president Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the relief distribution initiative as chief guest.
At that time in regards to the relief distribution activities, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed said, "We believe that not only business success but also being able to put a smile on people's faces is the biggest success"
The bank's Managing Director and CEO, Khondoker Rashed Maqsood said, "Standard Bank was, is, and will be by the side of the distressed people of the country in any moment of disaster."
