Bangladeshi universities see no improvement in QS World University Ranking 2022
Among the private universities, Brac University and North South University were kept in the 1001-1200 range
The University of Dhaka and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) saw no improvement in their positions in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University ranking of 2022.
Their positions remain in the 801-1000 range.
QS does not assign ranks for universities rated below 500.
Among the private universities, Brac University and North South University were kept in the 1001-1200 range.
Three Pakistani and eight Indian universities are in the top 500.
Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT) in United States of America retained top position for the tenth year.
University of Oxford, Stanford University, University of Cambridge, and Harvard University are other universities in the top five.
The rankings were based on six metrics: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, and international student ratio.
QS evaluates 1,300 universities across the world every year.
