Daily Sangram editor in police custody
On Thursday, the Daily Sangram published a front-page article describing the executed war criminal Abdul Quader Molla as a “martyr.”
Hatirjheel police have taken the Daily Sangram's Editor Abul Asad into custody.
Moinul Islam, assistant commissioner of Tejgaon industrial area police confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
On Thursday, the Daily Sangram published a front-page article describing the executed war criminal Abdul Quader Molla as a "martyr."
After the article was published, Muktijuddho Moncho on Friday organised a protest in front of the Sangram's Boro Mogbazar office.
They also burned some copies of the newspaper. Some people then went inside the office and committed vandalism.
Later, police arrived at the scene and took the editor into custody.
