Another writ seeks postponement of Dhaka city polls

A writ petition was filed with the High Court today challenging validity of the electoral schedule of Dhaka city corporations and seeking its directive to postpone the voting.
Authorities concerned including chief election commissioner, election commission secretary, secretary to the Ministry of Local Government, law secretary, returning officers, divisional commissioner were made respondents to the writ.

There may be a hearing of the writ on any High Court bench next week, Yunus Ali Akanda said.
