‘Legal actions over distribution of wrong SSC question papers’
Wrong SSC question papers were distributed in 15 exam halls
Education Minister Dipu Moni has said that legal actions will be taken against those responsible for delivering wrong question papers to several centres in six districts on the first day of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination.
She came up with the remark at a press briefing on "Skills, Readiness for Achieving SDGs and Adopting IR 4.0" at the education ministry on Thursday.
"This year, a total of 2,047,779 students from 28,884 institutions registered for the exam. Wrong question papers were distributed in 15 halls," said the education minister, adding, "It can be the invigilators' mistake.

"We have kept the answer sheets separate and took necessary action to ensure that the students don't suffer."
She further said, "The same mistake is being made every year. But it would never have happened if the authority had arranged separate spaces for regular and irregular examinees following the education board's directive."
The students failing a maximum of four subjects in the SSC tests are allowed to retake the exams the next year, said the Dhaka Education Board sources.
The board prepares separate question papers for those students as irregular examinees following the syllabus set for them. The regular and irregular examinees are required to sit separately in the exam hall as per the boards' directive.
This year, hundreds of regular examinees across the country, including in Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Tangail and Barishal, answered questions meant for the irregular examinees.
Talking about guide books, Dipu Moni said there is no need for that in the creative method. She also sought the support of local administrations and law enforcers to stop the use of guide books.
