19 brokers sued over trafficking Rohingyas
A total of 15 people have been listed in the case including the other four brokers arrested on Tuesday
A case has been filed with Teknaf Police Station against 19 brokers involved in trafficking Rohingyas illegally to Malaysia.
"A total of 15 people have been listed in the case including the other four brokers arrested on Tuesday," Additional Police Superintendent of Cox's Bazar Iqbal Hussain said.
Meanwhile, three more Rohingyas have been rescued alive from Saint Martin's Island by the Coast Guard members as the trawler carrying them sank near the island in the Bay of Bengal early Tuesday.
The rescued Rohingyas received primary treatment at the jetty.
At least 16 Rohingyas died after a Malaysia-bound boat carrying around 150 Rohingyas capsized in the Bay early Tuesday. Some 74 have been rescued alive, while others remained missing.
