Major 'security risk': Advertising wraps to be removed from buses

Three bus companies on Tuesday promised the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) to remove advertisements from bus windows within the next few days amid security concerns of female passengers.
The bus companies are - Dhaka Chaka, Shatabdi Paribahan and Green Dhaka.
"BRTA called owners of the three bus companies in the office to discuss concerns over the women passenger's safety issue," BRTA Chairman Dr Kamrul Ahsan told The Business Standard.

He added that the bus owners have promised to remove the advertisements within a few days.
