7 injured in Chhatra League infighting in Chattogram

At least 7 Chhatra League leaders and activists were injured in a factional clash at the Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
The clash ensued between the two Chhatra League factions at around 12 pm in the medical college campus.
"The two factions of Chhatra League went to the principal's office in the morning to complain against each other," Officer-in-Charge Jahirul Haque Bhuiyan told to the Business Standard.
Upon coming out from the office they got involved in a clash. The injured were admitted to the hospital afterwards, he added.
"There are tensions between the factions since Sunday. The factions brought out two separate processions that night," he added.
Police brought the situation under control started as they were prepared from last night, he said.
Additional security has been imposed around the hospital area to tackle any untoward situation."
