Traffic police killed in Mymensingh road crash

A constable of traffic police was killed after a truck ran over him at Jhaugora area of sadar upazila in Mymensingh on Friday night.
The deceased was Robi Chowdhury, 35, hailed from Atpara upazila of Netrokona.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali Model Police Station Mahmud Hasan said, Robi was on duty around 9.30 pm at the area.

He gave signal to a Mymensingh bound bamboo-laden truck. The truck driver ran over him and fled away.
Robi was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in a serious condition and he died there while being under treatment at 10.30pm.
Police detained the truck driver and seized the truck, he added.
