Jinnah Ali, country’s tallest man diagnosed with brain tumor
Jinnah Ali, the tallest man in Bangladesh, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Khurshid Anwar, assistant registrar of the Department of Neurosurgery, said Jinnat Ali, has a tumor in his brain and also has multiple physical problems. Currently, he is undergoing treatment at the Neurosurgery Department of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
"The patient's condition is not good. Preparations are underway to take him to life support. We have already contacted the ICU," he added.
Earlier on Sunday, Jinnah Ali was brought to Chittagong Medical College. He was first admitted to the neurology department of the hospital. After examination there, he was transferred to the neurosurgery department on Monday.
Elias Ali, Jinnah's older brother said, "Doctors told me that my brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It has become much bigger. So surgery is needed on an emergency basis. But due to his diabetes and other problems, surgery is not possible. Currently, my brother's physical condition is getting worse. He cannot speak now. We are worried about him."
Brigadier General SM Humayun Kabir, director of Chittagong Medical College, said a patient named Jinnat Ali has been admitted to the hospital. The patient is currently undergoing treatment at the Neurosurgery Department. The young man has been suffering from various physical problems since birth.
Jinnat Ali, son of Amir Hamza of Barabil village in Gorjonia union of Ramu upazila of Cox's Bazar, is currently the tallest man in Bangladesh.
In October 2018, Jinnah Ali met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Then there was a commotion about him.
Jinnah Ali was born in 1996. He is the second child in the family. From the age of 11, his body began to grow abnormally. It rose to 8 feet 6 inches.
In October 2018, Jinnah Ali was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Dhaka for treatment. Doctors then said Jinnah was thought to have a brain tumor. In addition, his height is increasing due to hormonal problems.
