Kulaura train victims to get compensation
The families of the deceased will be given Tk10 lakh each and the wounded will get Tk10,000, the minister said
Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan has announced compensation for the victims of Kulaura train accident during a visit to Sylhet on Wednesday.
“The government is taking all necessary steps to ensure proper treatment of the victims as per the prime minister’s directives,” the minister said while visiting the injured at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Four people were killed and more than 100 were injured on Sunday as the intercity train Upaban Express derailed at Baramchal of Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar.
