Rain likely in parts of country today, tomorrow: Met Office

Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over Barishal, Chattogram and Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka division today, according to a weather forecast issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Friday.

The forecast for 72 hours commencing at 9am on Friday said night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country in the next 24 hours.

"The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country   

"Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to morning. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt temporarily due to thick fog," added the forecast.

On Sunday, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at one or two places in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, said the forecast.

Night temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, and weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky.

Chances of rain are low on Monday, but night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may fall slightly over the country. The weather will remain dry with partly cloudy sky, said the forecast.
