Army distributes relief thru helicopter in remote parts of Rangamati
The government is distributing relief materials among distressed people in districts
Bangladesh Army has distributed government relief materials among 380 families of ethnic minorities in remote hilly areas of Juraichari upzila of Rangamati district on Thursday, according to a press release of ISPR.
Based on the requests of local administration, the army used its helicopter to distribute the relief materials.
Because of the nationwide lockdown, the government is distributing relief materials among the distressed people in different districts. Accordingly, the government relief materials also reached in Rangamati. But it was not possible to distribute the materials as the places were located in remote areas, reads the press release.
Considering the situation, Bangladesh Army extended a supporting hand to the local administration.
Through the overall assistance of 24 Infantry Division, a helicopter of Army Aviation carried 4,000 kilograms of rice and other materials in those areas, according to the press statement.
