Govt to provide Tk64.15cr incentive to boost Aush production
The government has decided to provide an incentive of Tk64.15 crore to marginal farmers across the country, aiming to boost the cultivation and yield of Aush paddy, typically sown in March-April and harvested in June-July.
In a press statement released Tuesday(12 March), the Ministry of Agriculture announced that as part of this incentive, around 9.40 lakh farmers will each be provided with 5kg of seeds, 10kg of Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP), and 10kg of Muriate of Potash (MOP) fertiliser necessary for cultivating this high-yield paddy on one bigha of land.
The incentive will be provided through regular budget allocations under the ministry's agricultural rehabilitation assistance programme. Field-level distribution of the incentives will start soon, the release added.
