Nasim laid to rest at Banani graveyard
Nasim’s first namaz-e-Janaza was held at around 9:30 am at Dhanmondi’s Sobhanbag mosque
Former health minister Mohammad Nasim has been laid to eternal rest at Banani graveyard in the capital today.
He was buried next to his mother's grave there, after the second namaz-e-Janaza held at around 10:00 am, Somoy TV reported.
After the janaza, he was paid a tribute on behalf of the President, Prime Minister and Awami League.
Nasim was given guard of honour for his contribution to the great liberation war.

Family members, leaders and activists of Awami League took part in the janaza.
Nasim passed away in the capital's Bangladesh Specialised Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest at around 11:10am on Saturday.
On June 1, Nasim was admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital with Covid-19 symptoms, including fever and cold. He had been suffering from different health complications, including diabetes before testing Covid-19 positive.
He later tested positive for Covid-19 and was rushed into surgery after suffering a brain haemorrhage. Nasim underwent brain surgery at the hospital last Saturday. Since then, he was in coma.
