Ex-UP chairman Khokon arrested for firing on protesters during student movement in Netrokona
Khokon was arrested from Dhaka’s Kallyanpur today (12 September)
The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has arrested Khairul Kabir Khokon, former upazila chairman, in connection with an incident of firing upon students and civilians during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Netrokona's Barhatta on 4 August.
"Khokon was arrested from Dhaka's Kallyanpur today (12 September)," ANM Emran Khan, assistant director of Rab (legal and media wing) told The Business Standard.
