LGED holds inauguration of pilot knowledge management system programme
The Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC), established under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), has launched its own pilot Knowledge Management System (KMS).
LGED Chief Engineer Md Ali Akhtar Hossain formally inaugurated the pilot Knowledge Management System (KMS), which connected engineers from every department, region, district, and upazila level online.
In his opening speech, the LGED chief Engineer emphasized that the pilot Knowledge Management System (KMS) launch is a milestone for CReLIC and LGED, which will facilitate the LGED engineers' becoming more confident in having access to better curated and relevant knowledge. Furthermore, in the future, specialised training will be provided through CReLIC to enhance the knowledge and skills of LGED engineers on climate issues.
The KMS is designed with timely features, keeping climate-related learning, research, and professional development in mind. National climate-related policies, plans, climate data and information, LGED and CReLIC guidelines, manuals, and the Climate Resilient Tool (CRT), including video documentaries, images, and publications of various recent events, are shared with the KMS and will be regularly updated. Using the KMS, the LGED engineers can browse all the available information and download as required from anywhere and any device.
LGED Additional Chief Engineers Gopal Krishna Debnath, Shaikh Muzakka Zaher, K.M Zulfeker Ali, Md. Abdur Rashid Miah, Md. Anowar Hossain and CReLIC Director Md.
