Diddy attempts to obstruct justice from jail
Prosecutors allege Sean "Diddy" Combs has attempted to influence witnesses and public opinion from jail to sway jurors in his upcoming sex trafficking trial.
In a court filing opposing Combs' latest $50 million bail request, they claim he directed family members to contact potential witnesses and create narratives favouring his defense.
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to charges of coercion, abuse, and silencing victims through violence. Two judges previously deemed him a flight risk and a danger to the community.
Prosecutors suggested that Combs' actions indicate an intent to blackmail victims and witnesses into silence or coerce them into giving testimony favourable to his defence.
They also argue his actions in jail, including orchestrating social media campaigns and monitoring analytics, demonstrate his disregard for rules.
