BCB took all measures to curb broadcast errors in BBPL
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) took all the steps to curb the production errors as much as they can in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL).
The BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said today that they are learning from their previous mistakes and tried their best so that it is not repeated this time around.
In the previous season, absence of Ultra Edge, Snickometer or Hot Spot technology in the tournament's Decision Review System (DRS) had made the headlines alongside many instances of errors in the broadcast.
There were several occasions where commentators were heard mispronouncing players' names, getting the names of fielding positions wrong.
Furthermore, there were several occasions when viewers had to experience graphical errors.
"There is always learning from mistake. This time we [BCB] tried to ensure the best of the technologies for [broadcast] production," Chowdhury said.
Spider cam and drone will be used to give the better broadcast experience this time, he informed.
"Spider cam and drone will be used in broadcasting the matches. In Dhaka, we will have the spider cam because of the available facility and in Chittagong and Sylhet we will have the drone," he added.
