“Lukaku can easily beat Ronaldo”, says van der Meyde

Romelu Lukaku will outscore Cristiano Ronaldo in Serie A this season, according to former Inter forward Andy van der Meyde.

Lukaku has already hit the ground running in Serie A as he scored two goals in his first two matches, whereas Ronaldo has scored only one so far.
"Lukaku can easily beat Ronaldo. He has always shown that he knows how to score wherever he has played, he is a pure center-forward, while Cristiano plays most of the time out wide," van der Meyde said to Juvenews.eu.

The Belgian only scored 12 goals for United last season, whereas Ronaldo scored 21 last time around for the Old Ladies.
Questioned about if Lukaku could cope with the Italian League, the former Dutch winger said, "Lukaku is a fan of Italian football and I think he's made for this competition. He is strong and can score many goals. He has a very powerful physical structure and this will put all Italian defenses in crisis."
The Serie A has been one-sided in recent years, as Juventus have won the league for an eighth consecutive season. Though this time around, with Inter building a strong team, competition might get tough but yet van der Meyde thinks that Juventus will clinch their ninth league title in a row.
"I think the title will go to Juve. They are always the best there is in Italy, the one that has more quality and more players than everyone. I believe that in the end they will win again," he said.
Inter have appointed Antonio Conte as their new manager, replacing Luciano Spalletti. For the former Inter forward, he is the right choice.
"I think Conte is a good coach for Inter, which will bring stability and this is what Inter needs right now. They chose the ideal coach to start over and get back to the top."
Inter and Juventus both have six points in the current league campaign, with the Milan-based side topping the charts on goal difference.
