Mashrafe doing well after testing Covid-19 positive
Some media reports suggested on Monday noon that his health condition worsened due to the virus, but a family member of Mashrafe said he is doing well.
Former Bangladesh national team captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who tested positive for Covid-19 two days ago, has been doing well.
Some media reports suggested on Monday noon that the former captain and Parliament Member's health condition worsened due to the virus, but a family member of Mashrafe said he is doing well and later on Mashrafe confirmed that he was well through a Facebook post from his verified Facebook page.
"For now, I am physically healthy and receiving proper medical care at home. I might need to go to the hospital for some checkups, which is normal. News about me getting admitted to a hospital or not getting a room is baseless. I hope nobody will be concerned or misguided about this sort of news. I urge everyone to pray for me. We have to win this battle together. May Allah bless us all, " Mashrafe's post read.
"Bhaia is doing well. He has been suffering from asthma for a long time. So we were scared about it as coronavirus is more deadly for the people who have asthma. But he is doing well. He has no symptoms other than little cough and fever," Morsalin Bin Mortaza, Mashrafe's younger brother said earlier.
Earlier, Tamim Iqbal's elder brother Nafis Iqbal and national team left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam Apu tested positive for Covid-19.
Nazmul's parents also tested positive for coronavirus. While his mother is doing well, his father is showing some complications as he has heart problems.
As per the latest update, 1,15,786 Bangladeshis tested positive and 1502 died from coronavirus in the country.
