Rafique shows class as Acme Strikers bag LCT 10.10
They beat Expo Raiders captained by Khaled Mahmud Sujon by 30 runs in the all important final.
Age is never an issue for legendary cricketers like Mohammad Rafique. He useed to hit boundaries all over the ground and take wickets for fun. He continues to do the same even at the age of 50. "Age is not an issue, he is still the same," one of his teammates joked.
Rafique did prove that age is not an issue with some sublime performances in the LCT T10.10.
Legends Cricket Tournament (LCT) 10.10 took place in Cox's Bazar from 18 to 20 February where Rafique showed his class once again. He bagged 8 wickets and scored 75 runs from 5 matches. He also became the man of the tournament.
With the help of Rafique's brilliance, Acme Strikers won the tournament in style on Saturday.
They beat Expo Raiders captained by Khaled Mahmud Sujon by 30 runs in the all important final. Rafique at one point was on a hat-trick with the ball.
Batting first. Acme Strikers posted 104 runs on the board for the loss of 8 wickets. Ehsanul Haque Sejan played a brilliant knock of 44 runs.
Chasing the big score, Raiders were in trouble from the word go. They eventually managed to score 74 runs losing 8 wickets.
Javed Omor Belim ruled the tournament with the bat. He came out of his usual shell and scored 245 runs for Gemcon Titans. He bagged the best batsman award of the tournament.
Ashique Mojumdar bagged 8 wickets in the tournament and became the best bowler of the tournament.
Narayanganj Warriors won plate championship and the fair-play award.
6 teams participated in the tournament. More than 100 ex-cricketers played and relived memories in Cox's Bazar.
